6W and 18W Changeable Multiplug housings offer IP54 and IP55 options for medical, household, and ITE/ICT equipment

GlobTek's 6W GTM96060-06VV-Q and 18W GTM96180-18VV H/M interchangeable wall plug in ("multiplug") power supplies offer various degrees of IP protection up to IP54. IP rating is also known as Ingress Protection or International Protection ratings which are defined to the international standard of IEC 60529. This standard is used to define the levels of sealing effectiveness of electrical enclosures against intrusion from foreign bodies such as tools, dirt and moisture. As standard the models offer IP21 which is Protected against solid objects over 12mm, e.g. fingers and Protected against vertically falling drops of water, e.g. condensation. As a special order option, IP54 and IP55 are available with alternate housing constructions in combination with various internal construction modifications.

IP54 and IP55 options are available with and without LED indicators. In addition to special housing IP protection, waterproof and outdoor rated output cable materials and connectors are available upon request.

The families are available in a wall plug in changeable blade housing with plug options for North America/Japan, Europe, Australia/New Zealand, United Kingdom, Korea, Argentina, India, Brazil, and South Africa. The wall plug in changeable blade housing is a high impact polycarbonate with size (L)74*(W)43.5*(H)36.8.

The families are certified for IEC 60601-1 Medical Safety and EMC (4th edition, 2MOPP), IEC 60950-1 Information Technology Equipment, IEC 62368-1 Audio/video, information and communication technology equipment, UL1310 Class 2 Power Unit, and IEC 60335-1 Safety of household and similar electrical appliances. The power supplies which have an output current rating of 6A or less are all rated for Limited Power Source (LPS) application. Standard national certifications include, but are not limited to, United States, Canada, European Union, Russia/EAC, Japan, Ukraine, and Australia/New Zealand. The family also complies with the Latest Level VI and CoC/EuP Tier 2 international standards set the requirements for average active mode efficiency, measured at 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% of load at a minimum efficiency of 10% load and a maximum power consumption at no load.

Bespoke, customized enclosure colors, housing designs, output cord types and lengths, as well as customized packaging, Open Frame or ruggedized to various degrees of Ingress Protection, such as IP52 or potted IP68 versions are available upon request.
